4-stage ultrasonic cleaning system at Labo
The environmental friendly, aqueous cleaning system as alternative for a closed PER system
Degreasing of (fine) mechanical parts
Recently VARICLEAN delivered an ultrasonic cleaning system to Labo in Geldrop. Labo is a chipping company with as characteristic being a typical chain supplier and produces mono-parts in small and large series. They are as partner involved within the development of prototypes and custom made assemblies and do have a wide customer base in various (high-tech) industries. The materials which are used to produce (fine) mechanical parts are varying from light metal alloys, Stainless Steel, various high grade alloys and plastics. De degreasing of the parts where always done in a closed PER installation. This installation was at his end of lifetime and the wish was to found a replacement also on environmental grounds to an aqueous cleaning system supported with ultrasonics. Labo is a modern company and is investing since many years in the most efficient machines, unmanned production and robotting and take great care of human and environment.
Formulated cleaning demand
During the first acquaintance with Mart Stokmans we made an analysis of the cleaning requirements, materials, symmetry of the parts, type of contaminations, capacity et cetera and translated this information into an ultrasonic cleaning system which could cope with those points. The formulated cleaning demand was summarized in the following features; free of metal chips, removal processing fluids, no finger prints and a spot free drying as end result. Thereby it was not allowed to damage the parts during the cleaning process.
Well cleaned with a grease free and spot free result
The decision for an investment was then also taken very soon after receiving our quotation and to replace the PER installation. This 4-stage ultrasonic cleaning system is fully operational. According Mart Stokmans satisfies the installation as well as the cleaning result to the expectations. The various parts are coming well cleaned, degreased and spot free out of the installation. Most parts are then directly packed and prepared for transport. With this it’s possible to comply with a growing customer demand to deliver the parts clean and packed.
